Shine Hope this Holiday Season

As we approach the holiday season, consider something different this year. Consider gifting someone in your life or community the ‘how’ to hope. While you can always give someone a moment of hope, imagine if they know how to hope, so they felt more empowered to take control of their lives. Imagine if all knew how to turn despair into fuel for their purpose, and moved it into action. That is our aim for this work.

Here are 5 Ways to give a gift to someone this holiday season to Shine Hope:

1. Moment of Hope Cards

These pocket-sized cards feature an inspiring hope quote on one side and tips on how to Shine Hope on the other, and include where to go for support when they need help. Give to friends, family members, at work, and in the community. Get your copy at the Shine Hope Store

2. Hopeful Minds for Teens Hopeguide

Tested and approved by teens, the ‘Hopeful Minds for Teens’ program is a 12-module workbook that introduces teens to the Five Keys to Shine Hope™: Stress Skills, Happiness Habits, Inspired Actions, Nourishing Networks, and Eliminating Challenges. It is a workbook that they can do with their friends to learn and talk about hope, or something classrooms can purchase for the entire school.

Take the course.

Don’t forget this holiday season to fully activate your Stress Skills, and keep your Happiness Habits close at hand. As holidays can be challenging for many, our elevated levels of cortisol must be managed, and we’ve got to do all we can to activate our Happiness Hormones in healthy, proactive ways. Wishing you a fantastic holiday with all and as always…

Keep Shining Hope,

Kathryn

Measure Your Hope

Most people don’t realize there is a Science of Hope. That you can actually measure it. And through our work, we have shown you can teach it. The first step in understanding your hope, is seeing how hopeful you are. And no matter what your score, don’t forget. Hope is a journey. As you move forward in life, your hope levels will rise and fall. That’s okay. If you practice your hope skills regularly, no matter how hopeless life seems in the low moments, you will always have a map to find your way back to hope. Check out our free validated hope scale.
