Hopelessness, a Public Safety and Health Emergency, Necessitates Hope as a Strategy

The Shine Hope Company (TSHC) – The Shine Hope Company and the International Foundation for Research and Education on Hope aim to address the violence crisis by teaching hope science. Hope is a teachable and learnable skill found to have an inverse relationship to violence. Hopelessness, the antithesis of hope, is the only consistent predictor of violent behaviors and can be prevented through hope activation in our communities.
